An Update from Mr Curtis (9.5.25)

Hawthorns have had a brilliant week and crammed a lot into 4 days! Its been Arts Week this week.
We held a coffee morning for all families at Hawthorns and our neighbours at Arundale to share information on the new A57 Bypass work - our friends from Balfour Beatty were able to answer lots of questions and share information with families about the work that will last over the next 3 years.

We've also launched a competition to have art work displayed on the hoardings around the works.
We celebrated VE days 80th anniversary with lots of art work, street parties and picnics.
Sycamore class have been helping Miss Cottrell to create our new allotment area - they are very hard workers!
We've had African drumming for all classes as part of Arts Week and lots of other activities all week in the Arts subjects.
I've also added some more photos from our recent residential to the Children's Adventure Farm to add to those shared last week.
Today we have had a superb talent show and I'll share photos next week, but needless to say, we had some amazing talent on show from the children, although the staff judges need some work!
Have a great weekend!
