An Update from Mr Curtis (31.1.25)
We held a Peer review with colleagues from other schools coming in to look at a specific part of the curriculum / school offer.
We focused on “Active Engagement” in all areas of the school day.
It was a fantastic day and really successful – thanks to the parents who came in to speak to the team.
We've also had Willow class doing their topic about life on Roman forts in Britain, building roads and practising fighting techniques.
We are visiting Castleshaw Roman Fort on Monday to be real Romans.
Buds class have been learning the rhyme 'old MacDonald had a farm' and we have been enjoying lots of activities about the animals and made sticky mud for the pigs in group work.
This Week Maple Class have enjoyed participating in the Big Birdwatch 2025! We completed one of Mrs Cottrell’s challenges against our friends from Chestnut and we spotted lots of birds including a blackbird, pigeon and sparrows, we had an amazing time!
Jasmine and Daisy have been taking part in the Lunar New Year celebrations in P.E. by making up their own dragon dance moves and making lots of noise using instruments.
First Steps also enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year!
