An Update from Mr Curtis (2.5.25)
As always, it's been all go at Hawthorns!
Apologies that there was no blog last week...
As you will know, we had a visit from Ofsted - I want to thank all families, our staff and especially the children for their input to the inspection.
Last week, children on the Woodlands pathway went to the Children's Adventure Farm for a 2 night residential - all had a great time taking part in lots of exciting activities and enjoying the great outdoors.
This week we've been enjoying the beautiful weather.
Maple class have been to the cycle track.
On Tuesday, staff, governors and families took part in a 5k walk to raise money for the National Autistic Society - they had a great day and even did 2 extra kilometres!
Fir Class, Buds and Rose Classes had a fun water day in the sunshine.
In P.E. this week, Holly and Daisy class have been practising their balancing skills using yoga balls.
Sycamore and Maple have been learning how to play rounders.
Chestnut have been developing their football skills.
Today is National Space Day and we've been joined by some very professional looking Space Cadets and some scary aliens for the day!!!! (AKA First Steps)
