Welcome to Oak Class

The curriculum in Oak Class is guided by the EYFS Development Matters, EQUALS scheme of work: My Play and Leisure and SEE-KS (Social, Emotional, Engagement – Knowledge and Skills).

It is delivered through a semi-formal timetable with a higher emphasis on developing key skills and knowledge. There is a mixture of engaging adult-led activities and structured curriculum focused play, which is supported by adults to extend learning.

Parent App

Hawthorns school now has a parent app (PA Connect) The app is now the school’s main way of communication.  This reduces the amount of paper we use as an Eco School.  All letters, newsletters and important message will be sent directly to your phone or tablet via the app.  Parents and carers can also update changes in emergency contact numbers that we have on our systems for your child.  For more information about what else the parent app and a step-by-step guide on how to install the app click here
