Welcome to Cherry Class

We are a key stage 2 Connections pathway class at Hawthorns School.  We love to learn in a highly structured and sensory considerate environment. Our key priorities are supporting pupil’s to use their communication for a range of social purposes, begin to make and maintain relationships with peers, and to have a love of and curiosity about learning.

The Adults in Cherry Class are:

 Name  Position
 Miss K. Foden  Class Teacher
 Mrs S. Austin  Teaching Assistant
 Miss G. Whatmough  Teaching Assistant

As well as developing our communication and regulation skills, we also cover a wide range of exciting topics to expand our interests in the world around us. Our topics are personalised around the pupil’s interests! All of our sessions are hands on and engaging to ensure pupils develop a love for learning.  Each session is differentiated to the individual child just ensure learning is meaning and purposeful to all.
