Fiona Armstrong

I am the Chair of Governors and a parent at Hawthorns school. I have been a school governor for over two years.

My profession, I am a Consultant Anesthetist (Learning Disabilities Lead) I hold a Masters in Medical Leadership. I have experience of clinical governance, lead person for Festival Medical Services.

I have also been a team doctor for the Special Olympics Team.

I feel I brings many transferable skills from governance within the healthcare sector.

The reason that I decided I wanted to be a governor was to give something back to the school.
During my free time I enjoy playing rugby and outdoor pursuits. I also enjoy cooking and eating meals out.
